LANtasim and Con on the Cob, event in Hudson Ohio  sonic_mna writes "Con on the Cob is a 4 day event in Hudson, Ohio on October 2-5, 2008 the LAN Event will start October 3rd. LANtasm is Con on the Cob's very own LAN computer gaming extravaganza. It's three straight days of around-the-clock computer gaming and electronic mayhem. Sponsored by OGO (the Ohio Gamers Organization), NOLGA (the Northern Ohio LAN Gamers Association), eDimensional, with more sponsors to come soon just keep an eye on the website. LANtasm is seventy-five seats of nonstop computer action. There will be 75 spaces available. We'll supply the cables, switches, and servers. Players are responsible for supplying their own computers or laptops. The fun begins Friday at noon and continues nonstop until Sunday at 4:00pm. There will be tournaments, prizes, and all sorts of fun stuff. I hope you all had a good time like my staff and I did. The Following are the winners of the Tournaments Held: Congratulations to Team 4v5 Winning the Counter-Strike Source tournament. Congratulations to Team Werra for winning the Call of Duty 2 Search and Destroy Tournament. Congratulations to Panther for winning the ECS Motherboard in the Quake 4 tournament. Congratulations to Master Alex, RadiumBurn, Black_hawk, Flood, sims, Stupify, k-smitty, and deuceitup for winning the Steelpad QCKS in the Battlefield 2 tournament. Congratulations to MasterAlex for winning the Call of Duty Deathmatch Tournament and winning a Zboard and Call of Duty 2 Keyset. Congratulations to Sims for winning the Seasonic Powersupply in the Doom 3 Deathmatch Tournament. The entrance to the lan will be at the door by the loading docks. Please park near the loading docks on the north side of the building and come in through the marked door. Do not enter through any other door in the building! Please bring your Hold Harmless Agreement signed with you to speed up the registration process. However, there are not a whole lot of people signing up for the LAN Party. This post will walk you through the whole process. Creating an account on the website does not sign you up for the LAN event. You MUST click the button to the right that says "Register for the LAN Party". You may also click the [Sign me up] link under details and registration. All of these actions require you to be logged in to NOLGA.ORG with a valid account. The following link will register you for the event if you already have made an account on NOLGA.ORG and are logged in: *NOTE: If you have already registered for the event, DO NOT click this link. If you have registered and did not pick a seat, DO NOT click this link. It will unregister you! Register for Frag Factory This link will take you to the section where you can pick a seat. Use this link ONLY if you have made an account on NOLGA.ORG and are logged in and have registered for the LAN but have not picked a seat. The red squares are open seats, the yellow ones with the yellow ball in them are taken seats. Pick a red one. Here is the link: Choose a seat for Frag Factory If you have not done ANY of the above, but would like to come to the LAN, simply follow This Link. Create a user account. This will be your handle at the event as well. An email will be sent to you so you can activate your account. Here is just about everything you will need to know on whats going on at Frag Factory 1. Schedule & Times: These times will not change! We are follwing this time setup exactly. Be there early for the tournament if you want to be in it. Doors open at 10AM on Saturday June 10th Counter-Strike:Source is at Noon Saturday June 10th Call of Duty 2 is 6pm Saturday June 10th Battlefield 2 is 10pm Saturday June 10th Quake 4 is noon Sunday June 11th Prizes: Call of Duty 2: For Call of Duty 2 we will be running a Cash Entry Team Tournament. All cash gets turned around and put into the Cash Pot. Entry is $5 per person so $25 per team. At the end of the tournament the Cash Pot is split up as followed: 1st Place 75% 2nd Place 15% 3rd Place 10%. NOLGA will be pitching into the Pot as well. Food/Drinks: NOLGA will have a snackbar with food and drinks forsale. We will also be providing Free Water and Lemonade. We will be selling Pop and Bawls along with Hotdogs, Candybars, Chips, and Mini Personal Pizza's. Any Suggestions for other items we should have for sale please feel free to post in the forums. Prepay: For those of you who are wanting to Prepay. The deadline to Prepay is Tuesday June 6th. We do ask that there be 2 people per TV if we do go through with this. Halo Tournament: If there is also enough physical written interest in the form of email to us about a Halo or a Halo 2 tournament we will host one. Prizes will be TBD for it if we do have one.
